Refund and Cancellation Policy
- Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to outline the conditions under which refunds will be provided for professional development courses offered by Baby Begin. This policy aims to ensure fairness and transparency for all participants.
- Scope
This policy applies to all participants who enroll in professional development courses offered by Baby Begin.
- General Principles
- We are committed to delivering high-quality professional development courses.
- We understand that circumstances may arise that require a participant to request a refund.
- Our refund policy is designed to be fair and to protect the interests of both the participants and Baby Begin.
- Eligibility for Refunds
4.1. Full Refunds
Participants are eligible for a full refund under the following conditions:
IN-PERSON LEARNING EVENTS
- The request for a refund is made at least 30 days before the course start date.
- The course is canceled by Baby Begin for any reason prior to course delivery.
ONLINE LEARNING COUSES
- The request for a refund is made within 7 days of purchase, AND online course content has not yet been accessed by learner.
- The course is removed from learning platform by Baby Begin for any reason prior to learner’s completion of the course, in the instance that the learner has had access to the course for less than one year.
4.2. Partial Refunds
IN-PERSON LEARNING EVENTS
- The request for a refund is made at least 14 days before the course start date. A 50% refund is awarded in this instance.
ONLINE LEARNING COUSES
- The course is removed from learning platform by Baby Begin for any reason AND the learner has completed the course, in the instance that the learner has not yet had access to the course for one full year. In this instance a 25% refund is awarded.
4.3. No Refunds
Participants are not eligible for a refund under the following conditions:
IN-PERSON LEARNING EVENTS
- The request for a refund is made any point after 7 days prior to course start date.
- Participants fail to attend the course or do not complete the course for reasons unrelated to Baby Begin.
ONLINE LEARNING COURSES
- The request for a refund is made at any time after learner has begun accessing course content OR after one year from purchase date.
- Process for Requesting a Refund
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
- The refund request should include the participant’s name, contact information, course name, and reason for the refund request.
- Baby Begin will acknowledge receipt of the refund request within 2 business days.
- Processing Refunds
- Approved refund requests will be processed within 30 days from the date of approval.
- Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Participants will receive a confirmation of the refund once it has been processed.
- Â Cancellations
- If Baby Begin cancels an in person event or an online course access at any time, learners will be immediately notified via all established communication methods (website, text, email, phone call, social media). Every effort will be made to provide information in a timely manner so as not to inconvenience learners. Â
- Baby Begin requires written notification of cancellation from learner and refunds (when appropriate) will be issued according to policy.
Special Circumstances
- In the event of extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, family emergencies), participants may request a refund or course credit beyond the standard refund period. These requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Course Credits
- As an alternative to a refund, participants may request to transfer their enrollment to a future course offered by Baby Begin. This request must be made within the refund eligibility period.
- Course credits must be used within 6 months from the date of issuance.
